Handgun and Rifle Shooters, let’s spend summer while testing our practical shooting skills under the raging heat of Batangas sun at the 1st Southern Tagalog Action Air Open, a 7-stages (for Handgun) and 4-stages (for Rifle), PPSA-sanctioned Level 2 Match hosted by the Batangas Action Air Shooters.
Match Details
Date & Time : March 26, 2011 – Saturday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
March 27, 2011 – Sunday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM / Registration Cut-off : 1:00 PM
Location : Wilson Firing Range, Soro-Soro Carsada, Batangas City
Registration Fee :
Handgun : P1000.00. inclusive of lunch
Rifle : Pre-Registration – P500.00 / Walk-in – P600.00, both inclusive of lunch
To ensure three (3) participants in every division (AEG-Standard, AEG-Open and GBB), we will be requiring pre-registration of interested participants in the amount of P500.00, inclusive of lunch.
Once a division has three (3) or more pre-registrants, we will accept walk-in participants with a registration fee of P600.00, inclusive of lunch.
We need to have three (3) registrants per division on or before March 20, 2011 (Sunday) to be able to give a go signal for a specific division. In case we are able to accumulate three (3) registrants even before the March 20 deadline, we will immediately announce it here.
If we are not able to complete the minimum pre-registrants for a specific division, and there are already 1 or 2 pre-registrants, we have to consider that specific division as cancelled and we will immediately refund the payment of the pre-registrants.

Rifle Match Mechanics :
Divisions : AEG – Standard
AEG – Open
GBB – Open
Rifle Requirement (AEG & GBB) : Minimum length of barrel = 10 inches
No PDWs, No vertical grip
Restrictions :
AEG – Standard s : iron sight only, No bi-pod, No cheek rest
AEG – Open : With red dot or telescope, With bipod
No laser sight, no flash light
GBB – Open : No converted airgun, No CO2
Green gas or 134a gas only
FPS Limit : 550 FPS
Number of Magazines Allowed : Unlimited (The more, the better especially for AEG)
Magazine Size : Any
Magazine Holder : Belted magazine pouch, Vest-type magazine pouch, pockets
Number of BBs :
AEG - Unlimited since there will be a mandatory reload for every shooting position
GBB - 30 rounds
BB Weight : Depends on shooter
Competitors’ Attire : No military prints or camouflage
Eye protection strictly needed
Gloves allowed
Courses of Fire :
Short course - with either standing or kneeling positions
Medium courses - with 3-4 positions
Long course - with 5-6 positions
Targets will be placed at a distance of 5 meters to 25 meters from the shooter.
In case of activation of the automatic mechanism of the rifle while engaging a course of fire:
- on first instance, the shooter will be awarded with a WARNING by the Range Officer;
- on a second pull of the automatic function, at the same COF , the shooter will be disqualified from the match.
The shooter, however, has a choice to stop engaging the COF on the first instance of a full-auto which will mean acquiring a zero (0) score for that specific stage.
